In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, and is without error in its content and message. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension into heaven, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone

GOD
There is one God in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All-wise, all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, just, loving, merciful and gracious. He is long-suffering, and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9).

JESUS CHRIST
He is fully God and fully man, one with His Father (John 10:30). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25), lived a sinless life, and through His death on the cross, His burial and resurrection, secured our redemption from sin, and eternal life in heaven with Him and the Father. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, interceding for believers and is coming again (Acts 1:10-11).

HOLY SPIRIT
He convicts people of sin and restrains the extent of sin in the world (2 Thessalonians 2:7). He opens the hearts and minds of people to turn from sin, to believe in the son, and to be born again. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to live within every believer and enables them to live in obedience to the will of God (Galatians 5:16).

SIN
We believe that we are all born with a sin nature as a result of original sin in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve (Romans 5:12). Our sin separates us from God, but through Christ we are forgiven and restored into right relationship with God, the Father.

SALVATION
God has given us the free gift of salvation from sin and its penalty (Romans 6:23), and is available to us only through faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone (Titus 3:5-7). At the moment of salvation we become children of God (John 1:12), forgiven of sin and secure in the reality of eternal life (John 5:24).

CHURCH
We believe the Lord gave two ordinances to the church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism by immersion is a public testimony of faith in Christ in obedience to His command and identifies the believer with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Colossians 2:12). The Lord’s Supper is the believer’s remembrance of our Lord’s death until He returns.
